Bellew Electrical, one of the largest independent electrical wholesalers in Ireland, has announced its acquisition of Cable and Accessories, marking a major deal for the industry.

Cable and Accessories is one of the largest independent electrical wholesalers in Northern Ireland.

It was founded in 1984 and has grown significantly over the past four decades.

Now it employs over 45 people across its seven branches in Derry, Omagh, Limavady, Enniskillen, Letterkenny, and Buncrana.

The move marks Louth-headquartered Bellew's second major deal in recent months, following its successful acquisition of Wesco Electrical in early August.

The companies said this new deal positions both of them for continued success and market expansion.

Bellew Electrical and Cable and Accessories will continue to operate separately under their existing brand identities.

They said the aim is to ensure continuity of service while benefitting from the expanded capabilities of the newly combined entity.

Earlier this year, Bellew Electrical secured significant new investment from Waterland Ireland, which will allow the company to accelerate its ambitious growth strategy across the island of Ireland.
